It started off pretty serendipitously, as these things often do.
A restless rainy day afternoon walk through the woods as the sky cleared.
A quick bend to tie a shoelace and there before me: a rainsoaked leaf.
Like the countless thousands trod underfoot before, but this one... winked at me.
A few hours later, pixellated across my monitor, it not only winked; it spoke to me.
